Umbraco User Settings

The user permissions and roles are set in umbraco user section. Click on the umbraco user section and click on the users node.

Under the users node, there are list of users. On the right panel you will see the properties of the user being selected on the left panel.

The content channel tab helps you use the windows live writer to post the content on your blog.

User Types

Click on the user types node. Right click on the node and click “Create” to add new user type to the list. I created a new user type “Test”.

On the right panel you will see all the content section, for which you can give permission to the user you selected on the left panel.

Create User

You can create a new user by right clicking the user node and click “Create”.

I created a new user ” Test” and selected the user type to be “Test”, which created in the previ0us step.

User Permissions

Now you can see “Test” node under user permissions node. Clicking on the “Test”, you can see the permissions assigned to that particular user. You can also edit the user permissions and control the user permission for different content section as well.
